Citizens across Hanover County cast thousands of votes in this year’s Heart of Hanover Business Awards contest, and the top three businesses in each category have officially been revealed. These businesses now advance as finalists and are invited to the Heart of Hanover Awards Luncheon on June 2nd, where category winners will be announced alongside several special committee-selected awards.
Wegmans Virginia Service Center Receives Recognition
Among this year’s honorees, the Wegmans Virginia Service Center received the Spirit of Partnership Award, a distinction that underscores the vital role corporate partners play in advancing both economic vitality and quality of life in Hanover County.

One registrant per eligible business. Eligible businesses include restaurants, retail shops, lodging providers, attractions, and other visitor-serving businesses. Due to limited seating and focus on Hanover/Ashland hospitality businesses, at this time we cannot accept registrations from businesses not located within the two jurisdictions or that fall outside of the hospitality sector. If you are unsure your business falls within these parameters please reach out to the Economic Development office and we will be glad to assist.

This new flex/speculative industrial park will consist of three buildings totaling up to 949,500 square feet. The owners of the proposed park, currently zoned M-2, are open to sale, lease, and build-to-suit options.
