SanMar Celebrates Grand Opening of Fulfillment Center Located in Hanover County
SanMar Corporation recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 1.1 million-square-foot East Coast distribution facility in Hanover County, marking a major milestone for both the company and the region. This state-of-the-art facility further strengthens Hanover County’s position as a key logistics hub in Central Virginia. In recognition of its investment and community impact, SanMar received the 2024 CiCi Community Impact Award for its significant contributions to local economic development. During the October 10, 2025 grand-opening celebration, the company welcomed more than 500 guests, offered tours of its advanced automated product-picking system—including a 125,000-square-foot goods retrieval grid—and hosted a festive event featuring live music, food trucks, brand activations, and community partners. Hanover County to Host PGA Korn Ferry Tour Championships
⛳Hanover County leaders joined regional partners at a PGA news conference on October 20th to announce that the Korn Ferry Tour Championship will call The Federal Club located on Route 33 in Hanover County home for the next four years, beginning in October 2026.

Commemorate the season with a timeless keepsake! The Ashland Trolley Line Trail features a raised boardwalk and serves as Ashland’s segment of the planned 43-mile Fall Line Trail. Hanover County’s 4.8-mile portion connects the Ashland Trolley Line Trail to Woodman Road in Henrico, blending transportation history with modern recreation. The 2024 Historic Hanover Courthouse ornament is also still available for purchase.
