Congratulations to Allied Instructional Services and 3 Reasons Consulting, both located in Hanover County, for being ranked again on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America! In the 2024 ranking, 3 Reason Consulting realized a 188% revenue growth over the past 3 years, while Allied Instructional Services reported 149% growth. 

Bon Secours Breaks Ground on Ashland Emergency Center

Bon Secours broke ground on August 14, 2024, along with Hanover County leaders, of its 10-bed, 17,000-square-foot facility located on North Lakeridge Parkway. The project is expected to be completed in late 2025.

Hanover County Cuts Ribbon on Ashland Elementary School

Hanover County marked the opening of Ashland Elementary School on August 15, 2024 alongside hundreds of students, families, staff members, community members, and distinguished guests with a special ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the new school.

Kings Dominion has announced the arrival of Rapterra as part of the park’s 50th anniversary season in 2025! Standing at 145 feet tall and stretching 3,086 feet long, this incredible new attraction is the world’s tallest and longest launched wing coaster.

Hanover Continues to Be Ranked in Top 500 Healthiest Communities

Hanover County continues to be ranked as one of the top healthiest communities by U.S. News & World Report!  In the 2024 list, Hanover is ranked #9 in Virginia and #114 in the top 500 in the nation.  Hanover scored the highest marks in the Food & Nutrition and Economy categories. The food and nutrition category tracks the availability and use of healthy foods in a community, as well as the prevalence of chronic diseases that have been linked to poor nutrition. Hanover Invites Residents to Join 9/11 Day of Service

Join Team Hanover as we give back to our community during the 9/11 National Day of Service. Volunteer alongside Hanover employees as we complete service projects around the County.  From spending time with seniors to building homes for those in need, every act of kindness counts.

2024 Hanover County Business Appreciation

Join us for Hanover County Business Appreciation on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. at James River Cellars Winery.  The 2024 Hanover Legacy Business recognition and Marc S. Weiss Award recipient presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.  This event has limited space, therefore, it is requested that registration be limited to two persons per business.
